Removing barriers to autistic potential

It is estimated that at least one in sixty-five people in Ireland are autistic, yet eighty-five per cent of autistic people are unemployed or underemployed. It is why IrishJobs.ie and AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity,  are working together to champion autistic talent in the workplace and offer autistic people the same chance to achieve in the world of work as everybody else.

As part of our ongoing partnership, we were delighted to sponsor the keynote speaker at AsIAm’s annual conference, which took place earlier this month.  The leading autistic psychologist, researcher, advocate, and writer, Dr Wenn Lawson, spoke passionately and eloquently about ‘Removing Barriers to Autistic Potential’, sharing his expertise and personal insights on how we can do away with the obstacles that block autistic people from opportunities.

Removing barriers is at the heart of our mission with AsIAm. We want to transform the world of work for autistic people, remove barriers to employment and create inclusive working environments for the autistic community.
