How to write a good company profile

With so many companies in competition to attract the best candidates it is more important than ever  that you showcase  the best of your business and tell job seekers  why they should come work for you.

The best way to do that is through a well-written company profile.

Copying the “about us” page from your company website may a quick fix but it won’t necessarily give you the best results for two reasons.

Firstly, your  company profile on IrishJobs.ie will be read and assessed by candidates not customers. Its purpose is convince candidates to apply for your jobs. Think of your audience and write it with them in mind.

Company Profile Checklist  

  1. Provide an overview of your business. Tell candidates about the products and/or services your business provides and provide information about the company culture.
  2. Use images including your company logo and any awards your business has received (eg Great Place to Work, innovation awards, Green Awards etc)
  3. Upload Video content (YouTube and Vimeo only) — You can load up to 3 videos.
  4. Add your Social Media links to candidates can learn more about you. (Facebook and Twitter only)
  5. Give details of Employee Training and Education Schemes.  Show  candidates how you  will support  their careers.
  6. Promote Employee Reward Schemes and your  Company Benefits.  Let candidates know you reward hard work.
