Our latest Employer Masterclass with AsIAm explored ‘Workplace Culture and Attitudes to Neurodiversity’.
Emily Banks, the founder and CEO of Enna, formerly known as Stack Recruitment, shared her experience and expertise on how workplaces can be more inclusive of Autistic talent and on how businesses can build neurodiverse workplace cultures. While Rob McClean, Senior Vice President & Head of Ireland Fund Accounting & Middle Office Services of Northern Trust gave an employer’s perspective on promoting a neurodiverse workplace culture.
We also heard from Jenny Kane-Mason and Zoë Kinane from Facebook, who both co-lead Facebook’s the ‘Neurodiversity Pillar’ within Facebook’s ‘Differently Abled Ireland’ employee resource group, where they speak about how Facebook create a more inclusive workplace for autistic and neurodivergent talent. Jenny is also Chairperson of a local family support charity in South Dublin, PRISM Dlr (Dun Laoighaire-Rathdown), which supports parents, families and autistic children and teenagers. Zoe also leads the ‘Career Pillar’ on Facebook’s ‘Global Operations EMEA Women @ FB’ employee resource group.
Monthly Employer Masterclasses
As part of our partnership with AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity, we are collaborating on a series of monthly masterclasses aimed at supporting employers to engage with the vast untapped pool of Autistic talent in Ireland.
Each monthly workshop will cover a different theme, including recruitment and onboarding, workplace culture and attitudes to neurodiversity, self-advocacy in the workplace and career progression and personal development.
Our previous masterclass examined Inducting and Onboarding Autistic Talent. July’s masterclass will focus on reasonable accommodations, preferences, and needs. Registration links will be shared on our social media platforms.
