Do you like to manage your applications on your own website?

A lot of businesses do and we are happy to work with them to promote their roles and send plenty of quality candidates their way.

With more people than ever searching and applying on mobile then it is important to ensure candidates enjoy a smooth transition from our site to yours.

So ask yourself a question is your website jobseeker friendly?

Telltale signs that it’s not could be candidates not taking any further action once they reach your site or, not completing their application once they’ve started.

Providing job seekers with a good user experience is a priority of our UX team, so here are three quick UX questions they say you should ask yourself about your  website.

Recruitment and UX – 3 questions

  1. What is your goal?
Your goal is applications so how easy are you making for candidates to achieve that goal.   Put yourself in their shoes and try to complete a task.  How can you streamline and improve it?
  2. How are you communicating?
Are you talking to job seekers as a person or as an organisation? How are you engaging with them? You need to guide, inform and assist them through your application process.   Talk their language.
  3. Do you test?
Do you test your application process on mobile devices? If it doesn’t work on mobile then it does n’t work at all. With more candidates than ever searching and applying on mobile, you could be missed out on talent if you make it hard for candidates to complete their application.
