It is estimated that 85% of autistic people are either unemployed or underemployed.
This is why IrishJobs and AsIAm, Ireland’s autism charity are working in partnership to open up the world of work to autistic people. Together, we are launching the IrishJobs AsIAm Company Clinic. Taking place every month, the Company Clinic is a resource for organisations interested in learning more about autism and how to become an autism-friendly employer.
An Employer Resource
The Clinic offers the opportunity to speak with AsIAm’s employment team who can support and advise on a range of topics on autism and employment including:
* How can we attract autistic candidates?
* What accommodations are needed during the hiring process and in the workplace?
* What training might be needed during the hiring process and in the workplace?
* What training or education should we provide to our employees about autism?
* How can we foster an inclusive and supportive workplace culture?
* How can we support career development for autistic employees?
The first IrishJobs AsIAm Company clinic will take place on Thursday, July 25th, from 12.30 to 13.30 p.m.
