Supporting successful hiring

“With a thriving job market and a growing economy, the competition for talent has never been stronger. It’s terrific for candidates but challenging for recruiters.” observes Orla Moran, General Manager of IrishJobs.ie.

1.5 million Jobseekers visit the website each month, searching for roles advertised by over 1,000 employers across 20 industry sectors.

Organisations such as Apple, Intel, Medtronic, Dell, Pfizer, ESB, Dunnes Stores, Keelings, Kerry Group, Accenture, Paddy Power, Aer Lingus, Vodafone, Jones Engineering, PM Group, SAP and KPMG and a host of SMEs all rely on IrishJobs.ie to help them reach the best candidates in the Irish market.

Orla Moran says that one of the most valuable things about IrishJobs.ie for employers is the website’s ability to deliver quality candidates.

“We have been helping companies source the best people for their roles for over 20 years,” says Orla Moran. “We have invested heavily in innovative design and development and are leaders in recruitment technology in Ireland. Our technology ensures a streamlined and frictionless hiring and user experience for recruiter and candidate alike. Our renewal rate of 90% is a testament to the fact that companies are hiring quality candidates through IrishJobs.ie”

Celebrating talent

To celebrate the terrific talent IrishJobs.ie helps recruiters to find, the website is running the IrishJobs.ie PayBack competition, which offers a ‚¬40,000 cash payment that employers can use to grow or improve any aspect of their business.

To enter, businesses simply need to advertise their roles on IrishJobs.ie, and whenever they make a hire, they can enter the PayBack competition by telling IrishJobs.ie who they’ve hired and what it means to their business.

The competition has generated a lot of interest amongst IrishJobs.ie customers who are all vying for the ‚¬40,000 prize.

For example, IPSEN Manufacturing Ireland (the Irish headquarters for the global specialty-driven biopharmaceutical group), are celebrating the successful hire of a Manufacturing Technologist, which will help the company grow its business by making active pharmaceutical ingredient drugs to assist in combating rare cancers.

Cruinn Diagnostics Group (one of Ireland’s leading suppliers in the Laboratory, Medical and Healthcare markets) has hired a Junior Field Calibration Technician via IrishJobs.ie, which will further enhance the services the company delivers to its customers.

Ivowen Limited, an expert in Regulatory Affairs advice and support to the pharmaceutical industry, are celebrating the successful hire of Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV). This new hire will allow them to expand their services internationally.

But it isn’t just within the science, healthcare and manufacturing industries in which IrishJobs.ie are helping employers to successfully hire, new recruits have been seen by companies from a variety of diverse industries over the years, including financial services, construction, engineering, HR, retail, and IT.

Learning about the result of hiring the right person with IrishJobs.ie has been incredibly affirmative for the IrishJobs.ie team says Moran.

“Even though we work closely with companies to make sure they attract the best people the reality is that our part of the recruitment process concludes when we have delivered a number of quality candidates to the business to interview”

“The PayBack competition shines a light on the positive impact of the people we’ve helped businesses recruit, the successful hires, and it is tremendously motivating for everyone who works here.”

Opportunities

With the ‚¬40,000 prize money for the PayBack Competition, employers who enter the competition are presented with the opportunity to pay the salary for a new hire, refurbish their office or pay for an advertising campaign that they have always wanted. The ‚¬40,000 figure for the prize comes about because it adds up to roughly the average annual salary in Ireland.

Moran continues: “We realise, with the different sizes of companies we deal with, from bluechips to startups and SMEs, ‚¬40K is going to have a different impact on different businesses. That’s why we’re not prescribing what it has to be spent on — it’s up to the individual winning company.”

For SiteMinder, which provides market-leading solutions for 26,000 hotels globally to acquire guests online and has recruited a French-speaking Sales Representative via IrishJobs.ie, winning ‚¬40,000 would offer the chance to further add to the 100 local jobs they have created in only three months last year.

Carroll Joinery, which has successfully hired a Financial Accountant within five days, has stated that winning the ‚¬40,000 prize would enable the business to invest in new manufacturing technologies at its factory in Kilkenny.

Meanwhile, other diverse companies including LotusWorks, Dancor Civil Engineering, GSLS and 3D4 Medical Limited have equally highlighted the training and development benefits the ‚¬40,000 prize could have for their teams and for new technologies.
