salary information on job descriptions

Salary adds up for candidates

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Candidates are more likely to view and apply for jobs which contain salary information according to an analysis by our Data Insights team.

When they compared data for jobs advertised with and without salary information, their research revealed that adding salary details to a job description can more than double the number of times that job is viewed. Applications also increase, by as much as 4%, for jobs with clear information about pay and remuneration.

While our analysis clearly shows job hunters engage positively with information about pay you still have the choice whether or not to surface salary information in your job posting.

In the Recruiter Hub, the new back office of IrishJobs.ie, you’ll find a new required field for salary where information is grouped in salary bands. You can decide not to make the salary details available to jobseekers. The information remains confidential but the data is harnessed to drive StepMATCHtm, our powerful search algorithm. It will provide candidates with more tailored search results and supply you with more qualified candidates and quality applications for your jobs.
