Brand of you campaign aims to remove barriers to job hunting

IrishJobs joined forces with two of Ireland’s best-known performance coaches, Gerry, and Miriam Hussey, to devise the free five-week programme which aims to remove barriers to job hunting by building confidence, self-esteem, and motivation. A former Olympic coach Gerry together with his wife Miriam, an experienced wellness coach, operate Soul Space, one of Ireland’s most popular empowerment movements.

Our #BrandofYou programme provides people with the supports they need to feel empowered to take make a name for themselves on whatever path they choose.

With insights from our most recent Jobs Index showing a 44% year on year increase in the number of jobs available to potential candidates, we wanted to better understand the factors that were preventing those unhappy in their current roles from exploring new opportunities.

In our recent  World of Work survey, we had over 6,000 people take part in a survey we conducted to understand the leading barriers to change. Our research reveals that emotions, as well as financial considerations, are the most potent driver of the decision-making process.

It’s clear that a job hunt begins long before a person ever writes their CV. There is a stage before that which is about self-belief, motivation, and self-esteem. This is what propelled us to create our #BrandofYou programme with leading wellness and financial experts.“

Leading financial advisor and author of the sellout book, Mindful Money, Kel Galvan (Mrs. Smart Money) will address cost of living concerns in the next phase of the campaign later in the summer.
