As part of our partnership with AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity, we are collaborating on a series of monthly masterclasses aimed at supporting employers to engage with the vast untapped pool of Autistic talent in Ireland.
Our first Masterclass workshop explored ‘Recruiting Autistic Talent and Potential’. Fiona Ferris of AsIAm was joined by leading experts in the area of recruiting autistic talent. Marie O’Riordan, who is the Head of PR for EML, as well an extensive and wide-ranging career in PR, Journalism and Communications, as well as in the Community and Voluntary sector. Jess Hendrickx is an Autistic Speaker, Trainer and Mentor. She recently took over Hendrickx Associates. As well as running the business and delivering informative webinars, she supports autistic people to build self-awareness, identify their goals and together with the person take small, manageable steps towards them.
Each monthly workshop will cover a different theme, including recruitment and onboarding, workplace culture and attitudes to neurodiversity, self-advocacy in the workplace and career progression and personal development.
