In our most recent employer masterclass with AsIAm we explored ‘Autism, career progression and personal development.’
Chaired by Hannah O Dwyer, AsIAm’s Training Manager the masterclass discussed strategies to support autistic people’s career advancement. Tara Killen and Claire O’Neill of Thriving Autistic shared their insights on career progression from a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirmative perspective and their experiences on how to support autistic people to develop their careers.
Monthly Masterclass
As part of our partnership with AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity, we are collaborating on a series of monthly masterclasses aimed at supporting employers to engage with the vast untapped pool of Autistic talent in Ireland.
Each monthly workshop will cover a different theme, including recruitment and onboarding, workplace culture and attitudes to neurodiversity, self-advocacy in the workplace and career progression and personal development.
Our previous masterclass examined ‘Self advocacy in the workplace’ while our final masterclass of the series will conclude with a discussion on how to create an autism-friendly workplace.
