  1. What is your job?
    I am the international account manager for, I work with over 134 countries around the world with "The Network" to help companies here in Ireland advertise their roles internationally.
  2. Describe your typical working day?
    Busy! Which is great as it means the day goes by really quickly. Another good thing is the variety; no two days are the same.
  3. What qualifications do you have/what is your previous work experience?
    I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business &l Information Systems. I have over 10 years' experience in Customer Service/Account Management working with various companies around the world. I started my career in in 2011 as a Customer Service executive and in 2013 I was offered the opportunity to progress to the role of International Account manager.
  4. What is the best thing about your job?
    As I look after international postings for I have to work with different people from different countries every day which is something I really enjoy. I also get to travel a couple of times a year for training to various locations around the world, so far I have been to Latvia, Austria, Brussels, Berlin and Hamburg which is great. I also really enjoy working with the team here in the Dublin office.
  5. What other skills do you need in your job?
    I think the people skills which I developed throughout my experience in Customer Service have been invaluable in this role. I didn't have a background in sales but the company provided sales training for me and I have really appreciated how this has helped me progress in the International Account Manager role.
  6. What advice would you give someone applying for a job with
    Be prepared to work hard! But this is a company that rewards hard work and encourages its staff to excel so it's a wonderful place to progress your career. There is a lot to learn, especially in the first couple of weeks, but the training is good and the job is very satisfying. in the community

The Best Bits

I'll start with the first positive - the people. The people in IJ take a genuine interest in each other and in delivering results together for the company. The recent acquisition of our company by StepStone has also resulted in a number of changes, all positive. They have invested in training, product development and people. Staff feel more appreciated as a result. isn’t for people who like to sit back and let good things happen. You are expected to work hard but the rewards are excellent.

Things to improve

Begins with K and ends with an N!! Our kitchen seems to get a right hammering in other reviews so no point going there! Quarterly update/ town hall meeting from Group CEO to all staff would be welcomed by all staff.

A lot of really good people working at the company. Great to be part of an international group too, meeting colleagues from all around the world.

The lack of space/facilities in the office although the main kitchen issue is being addressed soon.
