Newly qualified tax professionals are in demand in the taxation sector and this is reflected in an increase of 3-5% in salaries at this level.
Big 4 and Top 20 practices are recruiting aggressively across all tax heads at senior and manager level. Manager level candidates are also in demand and can expect a simliar increase in salary with bonuses of between 5-20% depending on performance.
Niche areas such as indirect tax and transfer pricing will always command higher salaries due to the small number of professionals specialising in these areas.
