Waterford Institute of Technology, located in the South East of Ireland, is an expanding centre of learning catering for approximately 11,000 students, 5,600 of which are full-time. With a staff complement of over five hundred and a budget in excess of IR£20 million, the Institute provides a comprehensive range of courses in Business, Computing, Engineering, Humanities and the Sciences at Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Post-graduate levels.
The Institute is a key strategic contributor both nationally and regionally to social, cultural and economic development and is at present undergoing major expansion of its teaching and research resources to cater for continuing growth. It is engaged in a major building programme, based on the Institute's Development Plan. The Institute has been designated to award its own qualifications when the National Qualifications Authority is established.
