Takeda Ireland Limited (TIL)

Takeda has had operations in Ireland for over 14 years and currently employs a total of 460 people across two sites:

TIL Bray

TIL Bray, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company has played a key role in Takeda’s worldwide operations since being established in 1997. To date employing over 400 people and serving as the main pharmaceutical production base for blockbuster products to the European and U.S markets.

TIL Grange Castle

In 2002 the first Takeda API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) plant outside Japan was constructed in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, representing a key strategic addition to the group's global production network. The plant will be the launch vehicle for new strategic products for global markets developing and producing API's from clinical trial stages through to launch and full commercialisation.

Good atmosphere in the lab. Great team to work with. Good work life balance. Good training opportunities.

Communication between analyst and manager could be a bit better.

The Best Bits

Great experience - really good training and support from all departments. Great company values with a forum for employees to voice opinions or requests regarding working conditions. Great flexibility.

Things to improve

The area i felt could be improved was with career progression.

Documentation System owner - train new starts, support site with all documentation requests, archive owner, issue all work sheets required by laboratory. Issue all Batch Manufacturing Records. Issue and archive all training records. Ensure all Documentation site wide is effective current reversions

The Best Bits

Flexible working hours. Time-in-lieu or paid overtime are provided depending on your preference. The workload was always very manageable.

Things to improve

Wages are well below industry standard. While this offers new graduates a change it leaves the company little opportunity to retain staff
