Ireland: A Key Part of Shire’s Global Footprint
Shire’s Global HQ is based in Dublin, Ireland. We are also investing in a new state-of-the-art biologics manufacturing facility in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, currently under construction. This facility will manufacture biologic medications for Shire. It will also be the European Quality Control hub for the Shire biologics portfolio.
At Shire, we have never separated responsibility from our daily business activities, decisions and relationships. We participate in and support local Irish communities and corporate responsibility is a fundamental part of our work. Nearly 200 Dublin based employees participated in our 2017 annual global day of service. They dedicated 1,300 hours of time volunteering supporting Barretstown, Tallaght Hospital, Enable Ireland and LauraLynn.
