About Seetec Employment and Skills Ireland

Seetec Employment and Skills Ireland is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seetec Business Technology Company Ltd. Seetec has been selected by the Department of Social Protection (DSP) to deliver JobPath in the Dublin, Border, and West regions and parts of the Mid-East and Midlands regions.

Whilst Jobpath is Seetec’s first contract in Ireland, we bring over 30 years of expertise from the UK in working with people who are unemployed; helping them to aspire, achieve and make sustainable positive changes to their lives through employment. We bring this expertise to Jobpath; working closely with clients to understand their individual circumstances and challenges, helping them to develop personalised plans to find jobs and in the longer term, to develop fulfilling careers.

We are also working closely with Irish employers, large and small, to understand their business needs and help them to meet resourcing challenges by accessing the talent of clients participating in the Jobpath programme. Our approach is very much employer-led, making sure that we prepare clients to meet employer expectations to help ensure a successful outcome.

In delivering our services to both clients and employers we have developed a number of relationships with partner organisations. This enables us to learn and understand the issues faced within communities and to use local expertise to overcome such barriers – thus bridging the gap between unemployment and the world of work.

Combined, this experience and local knowledge will enable Seetec Employment and Skills Ireland to add real value to the people and communities which we support.

A good job for a year or two but not the end game

Employee in Human Resources in Carrick-On-Shannon, County Leitrim, Ireland
former employee in 2017
13/09/2018

The Best Bits

Every day was different and the satisfaction from improving a jobseekers life through development and/or employment Learning new persuasion techniques and building your own confidence when speaking to people or groups Also developing a more indepth knowledge of facilties in area

Things to improve

The lack of strong planning and then sticking to the plans in place. Progression routes limited and training is limited to regulation adherence rather than improving the employee skillset Communication with public bodies is limited also be it not at the fault of the business I believe this could have been fought for more as the information withheld is key to the job especially with targets increasing drastically

About The Job

Get 6 people into work per month. Multitask like no other has before. Be confident - speak from a place of knowledge (do your homework) Think outside the box - find employment opportunities yourself and utilise the amazing employer's consultants!! Understand the people you are helping are human and can be fragile so tread careful any progress you can make can better their lives - sometimes the targets aren't the priority Do what you can and communication is key with the team
