Ornua – The Home of Irish Dairy, is an agri-food commercial co-operative which markets and sells dairy products on behalf of its members, Ireland’s dairy processors, and in turn the Irish dairy farmer.

One of the best things about working at IDB is the people. I've worked with some great people throughout the Group, some of which I now count as good friends. I love the Technical area of work which I'm in now as it allows me to work with a wide variety of companies across the dairy industry. My role is very varied and involves some travel in Ireland occasionally abroad, which I love.
Marise, Technical Team Leader
These are challenging times for the dairy industry and farming in general, so what I enjoy most about my position is the fact that I am playing an important part in assisting the Irish dairy industry to develop outlets for their products. What I also enjoy about the role is the sense of accomplishment it brings when a product concept is brought to life as a new product in the marketplace.
Tara, Product Development Executive
[I love] being able to experience different cultures and countries that may never have otherwise been possible; to work in an organisation that is dynamic and proactive in an ever changing global marketplace - this brings daily challenges which can be difficult, but welcome, and; to be part of the Irish dairy industry that will play a key role in growing exports. Also very importantly, to work with colleagues who are supportive, energetic and social.
David, Sales Executive (Cheese Ingredients)
IDB has always encouraged the many outside-office hour projects and activities I have been involved in. Whether I'm singing in a rock band or acting on stage, I have been afforded room and opportunity for creative and personal development. There has been many a time I've stood on stage and seen the faces of my IDB colleagues in the audience - now that's what I call stage fright!
Diarmuid, Systems Analyst
The size and complexity of IDB means that everyday I learn something new about the Group and how it operates, both here and abroad. I love that I am continually dealing with people from all different backgrounds and professions who give you an insight into how they contribute to the workings of the organisation. The IDB is a global business that exports dairy products to over 80 countries, yet the camaraderie of the workforce gives the impression of a small local business.
Deirdre, Trainee Accountant
