As a family-owned business, we support thousands of other family businesses and their local communities in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Spain.  Our retail brands include SuperValu and Centra in the island of Ireland, Daybreak in the Republic of Ireland, Mace in Northern Ireland and Dialprix in Spain. 

The success of our business model is directly aligned to the success of the local stores and the success of these stores is directly linked to the prosperity of the communities in which they operate and the willingness of such communities to invest in local goods and services.  Our entrepreneurial retailers are close to the communities they serve, listen to their customers and strive to deliver a superior range of quality and value through on-going innovation and superior customer service.   

Collectively Musgrave partners over 1,450 stores through trading divisions across the three territories.  Together with retailers we employ over 35,000 people.  In 2014 Musgrave’s retail brands had annual sales of €6.9 billion. 

Musgrave also operates Musgrave Marketplace in the island of Ireland which offers a convenient one stop solution to meet the needs of today’s independent retailers and foodservice professionals.  Musgrave Marketplace supplies more than 45,000 pubs, restaurants, hotels and hospitality businesses.  There are up to 16,000 products in stock throughout our MarketPlace sites.

The support of independent businesses and communities helps create the local multiplier effect.  For every €1 spent in a local business, 45 cent is reinvested locally.  For every €1 spent at a corporate chain, only 15 cent is reinvested locally.

Fantastic company to work for good values of treats are staff very well.. sorry I left in the end.

Things to improve

I think the link for the product from the staff who are picking to the delivery of us to the back door to store could much improved give the staff a better understanding of the responsibility they have of getting the product picked and how important it is to get into the store so the customer can have it on the shelf the next day is vital
