Ireland’s leading private healthcare group, Mater Private Healthcare, has been combining world class medical facilities and world leading health professionals in Ireland for many years. This experience has allowed the group to develop Ireland's most sophisticated private medical facilities. Only years of experience can bring the wealth of medical knowledge and care to patients that Mater Private Healthcare prides itself in.
Renowned for excellent healthcare services, Mater Private Healthcare offers a wealth of medical expertise, boasting some of the most technologically advanced facilities in Europe. The Group offers an impressive array of specialities from the most advanced in Cardiology and Oncology to our leading diagnostic facilities and specialist care in many medical disciplines.
The patient is at the centre of our ethos. Our system of values is based on the caring work of the Sisters of Mercy who founded the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in 1861 with whom the Mater Private Hospital to this day continues to share its campus in Eccles Street. This patient–centered vision will always be at the core of our work and development.
The Group currently consists of a private hospital in Eccles Street providing day case and inpatient services with 7 Operating Theatres and a 9 bedded ICU; two public/private joint ventures – the Mid-Western Radiation Oncology Centre in Limerick and the Mater PETCT Centre in Dublin; a new state of the art hospital in Cork; outpatient clinics in Drogheda, Navan and Sligo. In 2013 the Mater Private became the first Irish hospital to provide clinical services in the UK. The Clatterbridge Clinic, operated by the Mater Private, provides radiotherapy and chemotherapy to private patients at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust. The presence of highly skilled, dedicated staff is central to our ethos and we are committed to continuous development in all our specialties.
