The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital is a large acute teaching voluntary hospital and holds a unique place in the delivery of healthcare not only to the community of North Dublin but also to the rest of the country. It is a founding member of the Dublin Academic Medical Centre in which it participates with both St.Vincent’s Healthcare Group Limited and University College Dublin. In unison with these partners it will share in the leadership of the largest of the Hospital Groups in the country established recently by the Minister for Health. The Hospital has two national specialities, cardiothoracic surgery (including transplantation) and spinal injuries. Regional specialities include oncology, breast cancer screening, ophthalmology and dermatology. The Hospital also provides services under a range of medical and surgical specialities, including cardiology, renal services, general and vascular surgery, urology and orthopaedics. The Hospital has over 600 beds including day beds and approximately 3,000 employees.

The Best Bits

People Culture and working atmosphere. Also a number of benefits apart from the normal package there are a number of store discounts, health insurance discounts the credit union, bank on site and a few more

Things to improve

More investment in training and development. There is a great development center and should be utilized more
