About Cornmarket Group Financial Services

We started life in 1972 as Savings & Investments Ltd and concentrated on providing public sector employees, in particular, with a broad range of financial services. In 1987, we became part of the Woodchester Group and, as Woodchester Brokers, continued to expand our services.

In 1999, the Company was purchased from GE Capital Woodchester – making it once again a wholly Irish-owned and independent brokerage. This change in status meant that we had to drop the name Woodchester.

Since mid-1999, we have been a member of the Irish Life Group of companies. We currently employ over 300 people throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. In addition to our Head Office at Christchurch Square, we have branch offices in Galway, Cork and Belfast.

When you worked hard and over achieved you were rewarded financially for that effort.

Most roles are restricted and purely confined to a particular union, easy movement between all roles would break monotony.

Cornmarket is a great place to work, i have worked in several companies in Dublin and this one definitely treats their staff the best, great social events, promotions for those that work hard and they really listen to their staff.

Things to improve

The canteen can often be full and noisy so isn't really a place to get away for a quiet lunch.

I find the educational support offered by the company very beneficial. I have been offered courses that will help improve my knowledge of the financial services industry along with courses to improve myself as a supervisor. The atmosphere in the company is professional.. However, I have never had any difficulty approaching a colleague or manager for help or a second opinion. The management team in the company is extremely approachable.

Everyone made me feel welcome and I always had someone there to answer my questions..I was delighted when I was promoted to the position of Marketing Executive in April 2008.
