Concern Worldwide

Concern Worldwide

Concern Worldwide is a non–governmental, international, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries.

Our mission is to help people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements in their lives, which last and spread without ongoing support from Concern. To this end, Concern work with the poor themselves, and with local and international partners who share our vision, to create just and peaceful societies where the poor can exercise their fundamental rights. We engage in long term development work, respond to emergency situations, and seek to address the root causes of poverty through our Development Education and Advocacy work.

Concern Worldwide reviews

The best workplace I have experienced (of more than 10).

The Best Bits

Concern cares about people, not just the people we work with around the world, but the people we see every day in the office. I have never worked anywhere as friendly or open to people being 'themselves' at work.

Things to improve

Of course it would be wonderful to have more budget for things like training but we are a non-profit so every bit of money is put to the best possible use.

The Best Bits

The work they do overseas is superb. Knowing I am contributing to that every day in what I do from Dublin is very satisfying.

Things to improve

There are few paths to progress your career in the HQ. Also there is no mechanism to increase your salary, so you're stuck on whatever you start at, regardless of how much extra you put in over the years.
