Alkermes – an inspired place to work
Alkermes (“AL-ker-meez”) is a drug innovator, a global biopharmaceutical company with a focus on chronic diseases of the central nervous system (CNS). Our people are working to develop new medicines that address diseases including opioid addiction, depression and schizophrenia—some of the most urgent public health and mental illness challenges today.
Our vision is to make a difference for patients through research, development and advocacy, and to expand our scientific and business base. To help us achieve this, we need to expand our community of Alkermes employees in every part of the organization. We’re looking for scientists with a thirst for discovery and development, and professionals to engage with healthcare providers and get important information regarding disease treatments to patients; we’re expanding our field sales and marketing teams; we need public health policy experts and economists, and people with the skills to manufacture our medicines; and we need more of the people who keep Alkermes running as a thriving, high performing organization.
We’re proud of our growth and performance but even more proud of the people behind our success. We invite you to explore our LinkedIn page and our corporate website to discover more about our company and our people, our values, our open positions, and how we strive to make difference for patients living with addiction and serious mental illness.

|I joined the company in January 2004, after working as a formulations scientist with ICI/Zeneca for ten years. Currently, I lead the Formulation Development (FD) group in Ireland as part of a global FD function. Working in this organization has given me the opportunity to work with like-minded, driven individuals who have a common goal to develop medications which ultimately may improve people’s lives.|
