AIB Group

Do you want to be part of a business that is in the process of reinventing itself to become more innovative, digital, stream-lined and renowned for great customer service?   If so, we are always looking for talented and motivated individuals who are keen to join us on this journey and grasp the opportunity to make a positive difference.

We are going through an unprecedented level of change as a business and joining AIB now will give you the opportunity to be part of a fantastic business turnaround. We actively encourage people to work in a broad range of roles and functions and we provide leading Learning and Development Solutions to support people on their career journey. At AIB, we invest in building people leaders who are skilled at having really engaging performance conversations with their teams. AIB is a dynamic and diverse place to work. We are changing from the inside out to become a bank people can believe in. And by people, we mean our employees as well as our customers.

We’re one of Ireland’s biggest banks, but that doesn’t mean you’re just a number when you work here. We’re organised enough to have small teams focussed on one big initiative. Whether we’re analysing data, developing an app or, lending money, we are all focussed on our customers.

In each team you’ll find leaders who focus as much on people as they do on function. Here, anyone who is responsible for managing people is called a people leader, not a manager. That shows our commitment and focus on the development and engagement of the people who work here.

You’ll find a mix of age, race and gender, where everyone has an opportunity to reach their potential. You’ll find a culture of openness, positivity and respect where everyone has a voice.

We are looking for the best experienced people as well as graduates. We will match your energy and enthusiasm with empowerment so that together we can build a culture that break the conventions of what our customer and employees expect of a bank.

The Best Bits

The people, overtime available if needed, good location, great work life balance

Things to improve

Career progression, low salary, no pensions for 23 month contracts

Cons outweighed the pros

Bank Official in Ballsbridge, County Dublin, Ireland
former employee in 2017

$_DAY_AGO

The Best Bits

Huge workforce makes it possible to meet people and develop friendships/network if you do wish.

Things to improve

Salaries should be properly reviewed to keep pace with the living wage in Dublin and be commensurate with experience/level of service and keep pace with market rates. There are no bonuses or perks and salary levels are frozen. I was still on a graduate entry level salary after over 4 years. For this reason  it became necessary to leave.

About The Job

Works in collections roles, telephony, customer service, arrears management and operational roles

Great place to work and begin a career which enables you to grow fast.

The Best Bits

The company culture is great and hard word is recognized.

Things to improve

Communication across all AIB locations in order to operate more effectively.

About The Job

A Bank official typically carries out daily clerical duties, communicating with other locations in order to assist branches with certain tasks. Depending on the team you are placed in the capacity of the role can vary , for example payment processing , account opening, general data protection regulations etc. The role generally consists of inputting data and processing information.
