Molex Ireland was established in 1971 in Shannon, Co. Clare and was the first European facility for Molex. Molex Ireland is a fully integrated facility operating to world-class manufacturing standards. Manufacturing technologies employed include injection molding, metal stamping, plating, high speed automated assembly and PCBA. Molex Ireland also has extensive R&D capabilities with product design, marketing, tooling design and build functions. Molex Ireland currently employs over 360 employees.

Molex’s mission is to be the preferred supplier of interconnection systems to the global electronics industry and to grow market share through superior people, performance and innovation. Molex offer both custom and industry standard products for many different industries. Product development is kept close to customer design centers and manufacturing is located where it makes the most business sense, not necessarily where the product is designed. Molex has 3 global product divisions supported by a single sales and marketing division. This structure ensures Molex can Design Anywhere, Manufacture Anywhere and Sell Anywhere!

In December 2013, Molex became part of Koch Industries, one of the largest US private companies with annual revenues exceeding $115 billion. Koch Industries own a diverse group of companies in many industries including:

–     Refining, chemicals and biofuels; forest and consumer products; fertilizers; polymers and fibers; process and pollution control equipment and technologies; minerals; commodity trading and services

Molex gives Koch Industries access to the global electronics market through the connector industry. Koch Industries have a track record of successful acquisitions and their investment in Molex strengthens the Molex organization.  Koch recognize and value Molex’s expansive product portfolio, technological leadership, design and engineering expertise and global reach.

The Best Bits

i think this company is great as it took on 19 year olds and it has the best staff in there that i have had as colleagues and i believe that what they do is very helpful and economic

Things to improve

employment i think they should take on 16 year olds for the summer as it would give them money for extra events and would keep them off the streets

The Best Bits

People are friendly and "some" are approachable. work life balance is good

Things to improve

Honesty is a big thing for an employer to give an employee, relationships are poor as a result of weak human resources department. Move into modern manufacturing principles and methodologies.
