This position is based in our EU Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.

The Google Technical Services (gTech) team serves as the primary point of contact for our global Sales, Business Development, and Partnerships teams to support our sales organization across all products. We provide tools so that our sales teams can focus on generating revenue and leverage our strong relationships with Googles Tech teams to enable our sales organization to do multi-solution selling, launch and support new products, and help and engage our users.

The role: gTech Vendor Manager

The Consumer Operations team is all about focusing on the user. You work on our flagship consumer products like Gmail, Chrome, Android and Google+ to actively support global users through help centers and online communities. You are a Google guru. You have detailed knowledge of our constantly evolving product suite to ensure that user feedback flows to the Product team and fuels innovation. In this highly cross-functional role, you are the voice of our users and problem-solve with the Product, Marketing, Legal and Engineering teams. You process suggestions, bugs, abuse and other product information to ensure we are constantly improving the user experience.

Our regional gTech Vendor Managers are the ???engine??? that drives the performance of our operations across the globe. As the Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for development, scaling and management of support teams in close partnership with one or more outsourced vendors and various internal operations teams. In this role, you will have accountability for the performance of the vendor teams in your region. You will be responsible for new process implementation, development of SLAs, implementing training, critical issue resolution, ongoing workforce planning, budgeting, approvals, space planning, systems support (as needed), business reviews and day-to-day vendor relationship management. You will also be expected to contribute to the long-term operational strategy and support model, outsourcing decisions, contract negotiations, vendor selection and continuous improvements of business processes.


  • Manage the overall performance of the gTech vendor workforce in terms of cost, quality and delivery of service. Ensure all aspects of vendor SLAs are consistently met.
  • Monitor daily performance, collect and analyze data in order to recognize trends and potential problem areas.
  • Lead regular business reviews and any vendor relationship management activities.
  • Participate in workforce planning and budgeting activities in coordination with internal teams.
  • Support vendor selection, negotiations, and overall vendor operations strategy.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Business process and project management expertise.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem solving capabilities.
  • Experience in operations, production or supply chain management with accountability to measurable output in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience in directly managing vendors and negotiating contracts.
  • Exceptional leadership, management, communication and collaboration skills.
