The Role
Operating within a busy marketing department, the focus of this role is on online routes to market across multiple products and segments.

Key Accountabilities
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Specialist, Direct, the successful candidate will be responsible for the meeting agreed business targets within online advertising, website promotion, direct and digital communications.

The successful candidate will also develop internal understanding of online and offline sales funnel analysis and bring a solid understanding of ecommerce platforms and services.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
-Managing day to day relationships with external online suppliers
-Compiling reports on agreed Performance indicators
-Liaising internally with other business functions as required.
-Monitoring competitor and technological developments.
-Test, develop and report on marketing activity within agreed budgets and timescales

Skills and Experience
Technical Competencies:

-Ideally the successful candidate will have 3-4 years in an online marketing environment (FS/telecoms preferred)
-Online advertising – managing performance; Google, Double click and other platforms
-Understanding of the latest SEO methodologies in order to maximise the natural visibility of the website
-Devising and reporting on Online Content strategy – using web, email and other platforms in pursuit of business goals
-Testing, Developing and managing customer lifecycle communications
-Insurance Knowledge a distinct advantage
-Google analytics
-Experience of graphics/web design a plus

Non Technical Competencies:
-Results oriented – able to provide insight from statistics and spot opportunities
-Pragmatic Commercial focus on strategic and tactical activity
-Highly numerate – advanced excel user
-Highly organised – able to work to tight deadlines with multiple projects
-Understanding business requirements and IT project methodology
-An advocate of social media and an appreciation of where its application within Financial Services
-Customer orientated – able to identify needs of different customer groups and segments.
-Proven track record to form Working relationships with colleagues across different departments and external agencies
