Aviva Role Level: C     

Reports to: Operations Development Manager

Company: Aviva Health Insurance Ireland Limited

Location:  Dublin or Cork

 

Duration: Permanent

 

Background:

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced UAT professional to lead a UAT program of work, within the wider Health Company. Such programs range from major strategic programs including regulatory, new business and systems, to internal process efficiency projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the user acceptance testing program for the business. 
  • Manage test & business resources for UAT
  • Review business requirements (including any change controls) to ensure that requirements are detailed enough to create test scripts
  • Develop and implement test scripts
  • Execute agreed test cases / scripts  
  • Record, report and track faults arising from testing
  • Schedule testing and release to UAT
  • Coordinate testing with the business users
  • Liaise with business areas in relation to reporting and tracking of faults
  • Liaise with development team to communicate faults and validate fixes
  • Provide support to business owner / area
  • Complete formal sign off of changes in preparation for release to production
  • Help in improving approach / methodologies used when testing where possible
Skills / Competencies / Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal
  • High levels of enthusiasm, commitment, and energy required
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • 3-5 years’ experience in test preparation, co-ordination & execution experience.  
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance industry & products preferable
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and to understand the processes, which are key to the individual elements of the business
  • Thorough, logical and analytical approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure as various projects reach their finish date
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and to prioritise workload accordingly
