Background to the Role

The provision of funds services is a key component of IPSI’s offering to its clients. IPSI Fund Accounting is platformed on an internally developed fully integrated system. A full suite of sophisticated investment products is supported and together with our clients we are continuing the development of ever more sophisticated cutting edge investment products. Current assets under management are approaching €29 billion.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of fund accountants that fully services the investment portfolios of our client companies.

The Job:

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Providing a high standard Fund Accounting service to IPSI’s clients
  • Valuing the funds in an accurate and timely manner and publication of Net Asset Values (NAVs)
  • Placing trades with international fund managers in accordance with the advice of the clients’ asset allocation advisers
  • Purchasing and selling foreign currencies in a manner approved by the client
  • Treasury management of cash holdings
  • Recording all fund transactions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Preparation of all operational team output for capture on our imaging system
  • Producing monthly accounts and other data for financial and statutory returns
  • Performing reconciliations to confirm accuracy of accounts information
  • Liaising with clients, fund managers and banks on a daily basis
  • Utilising the firm's technology solutions to efficiently and effectively manage client enquiries

Candidates wishing to pursue accountancy or other related professional qualifications will be supported through education fess and study leave. Grants. The pursuit of an accountancy qualification whilst in the role will be fully supported if the candidate choses to further their professional education.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic record, the ability to work in a fast-moving environment and the interpersonal skills required to interact with clients and international financial institutions.

They should also have:

  • Strong aptitude for numerical accuracy and a high degree of analytical and problem solving ability
  • 2.1 or first class honours degree ideally in a relevant discipline such a Commerce, Business Studies, Economics or Maths / Maths Related ( however graduates from other disciplines wishing for a career change will also be considered if they have a strong maths aptitude )
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment

  • Knowledge of a European language would be advantageous but not essential
