The Company

Cafico International is an experienced, independent Trust and Corporate Services Provider of choice for international companies and financial institutions seeking a cost-effective, tailored solution when doing business in Ireland through Irish subsidiary or orphan companies. 

Cafico International works closely with financial institutions and local lawyers in the provision of corporate administration and trustee services to complex and bespoke finance transactions structured through the establishment of special purpose vehicles (“SPVs”).

Cafico International is also regularly engaged by international companies seeking to establish or restructure their operations through Ireland, assisting them with managing their projects and complying with the legal and fiscal responsibilities involved in the management and administration of their Irish entities, in doing so we work closely with local lawyers, auditors and other service providers.

Cafico International is searching for highly-capable Trainee Accountants to join our team in Dublin.

The Role

You will be a key part of a well rewarded Finance team that offers bookkeeping, accounting, regulatory and statutory accounting services to a large range of SPVs and other company entities. You will be required to adhere to best practice and assist in ensuring a continued high level of service and development of internal procedures in undertaking the full preparation of statutory financial statements, quarterly central bank reporting, interim accounts and key regulatory and financial reporting.

The candidate will have the following specific responsibilities:

  • Handling of internal and client accounting;
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for consolidation purposes under IFRS and Irish GAAP;
  • Inter-company account reconciliations;
  • Budgeting and forecasting functions and reconciling actual to budgeted figures;
  • Debtors / creditors analysis, maintaining invoices, billing and monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Assisting in the preparation of accounts from trial balance to financial statement level for client companies;
  • Maintaining contact with lawyers, trustees and banks in order to achieve objectives in meeting deadlines and serving the clients’ needs;
  • Liaising with external parties, such as auditors and tax advisors;
  • Handling of tax assessments;
  • Revenue submissions PAYE/PRSI and VAT;
  • Responding to queries in a timely manner; and
  • Assisting in client payroll preparation.


  • Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance/Maths/Law (minimum 2nd Class Honours);
  • Must have the desire to complete accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA);
  • Must be ambitious and able to work on own initiative;
  • Able to work within an international, multicultural environment;
  • Interest in international financial markets;
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills;
  • Versatile team player - flexible, pragmatic, thorough, proactive and service minded; and
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a bright and positive outlook.
