Technical Pre-Sales Consultant - Maynooth

We are an ambitious, dynamic and fast-growing company and are currently seeking to recruit a hard working, self motivated Technical Pre-Sales Consultant who shares our passion for technology, innovation and excellence to help us enhance our cloud solutions and increase our market-leading position. The successful Technical Pre-Sales Consultant will be an integral part of the organisation responsible for providing Pre-Sales Technical Consulting on Sentenial’s Origix product range of SEPA Payment Solutions. The role involves representing and presenting on behalf of the company on customer sites, at various events and at conferences.

The primary goal will be to work with the Sales Team to ensure that revenue targets are achieved by providing vital pre sales consultancy and technical assistance during the sales cycle. The role requires regular travel to customer sites within Europe.

This role involves:

  • Solution design and packaging of proposals. 
  • Work as part of virtual teams comprising of Sales, Implementation, Support and Product Management to help move customers and partners through the sales cycle to close.
  • Pre-Sales Technical Account management / development 
  • Manage the proposal/RFI/RFP and technical bidding process.
  • Partner training and support on Sentenial product range.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, webinars & POC’s.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Candidates should have a Business or IT related discipline or relevant experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a Pre-Sales/Sales Operations role supporting SaaS and/or Payments product sets.
  • Candidate must be sales-oriented, proactive, confident, be credible, with outstanding verbal and written communication and customer facing skills and keen to learn with a strong new business development attitude and good commercial awareness.
  • Experience of working with a solutions based methodology/approach.
  • A demonstrated ability to articulate the technical features, competitive advantages and business benefits of a product.
  • Familiarity with CRM Systems.
  • Experience with complex RFI/RFP tendering processes.
  • Experience of working with system integrators.
  • Experience in supporting sale to Financial Institutions and Large Enterprise Customers. 
  • Familiarity with selling via Partners and Resellers.


  • Familiarity with SEPA / Payments solutions.
  • A second European language is advantageous.
Sentenial is based in West Dublin / Maynooth off the M4 motorway, approximately 25 minutes from Dublin City Centre and 10 minutes from Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. It is highly accessible by car, commuter rail, bus and train. Sentenial also offer a free shuttle service every morning from Maynooth train station.
