The Department of Medicine wishes to recruit a Technical Officer who will play a key role in the Department’s teaching and learning and research activities. This will include technical support in undergraduate research projects.

(anticipated duration of 12 months)

 

The Department of Medicine wishes to recruit a Technical Officer who will play a key role in the Department’s teaching and learning and research activities. This will include technical support in undergraduate research projects.

Applicants must hold relevant technical or academic qualifications e.g. BSc (Hons) Degree which had a large component of molecular and immunobiology or a related area and/or have been previously employed as a Technical Officer within a University in the State. More specific duties are given with the further particulars associated with the post. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the capacity to complement and enhance existing teaching, services and research interests within the School.

The University, at its discretion, may undertake to make an additional appointment(s) from this competition following the conclusion of the process.

Please note that Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.

Appointment may be made on the Technical Officer Salary Scale: €38,773 – €53,564 (Scale B)

In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
