Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative Officer 3 scale at a point in line with current government pay policy

Post Summary
The Senior Tutor's Office is responsible for the Tutorial Service, the various student hardship/financial assistance schemes of the College and is also involved in the co-ordination of Student Services in College. The Administrative Officer/Student Support Officer�s job in the Senior Tutor�s Office is a complex and many faceted position as its primary role is to act as an access point for students in distress and for tutors who require information or help with a student case as well as running an efficient office. The person appointed to this position will be responsible for supporting students and tutors and for the efficient running of the Tutorial Service and the Senior Tutor's Office. The duties include meeting, interviewing, supporting and advising students in financial or personal crisis, managing the Hardship and ESF funds, acting as a referral point for students, offering support and advice to tutors, facilitating the Student Parent Support Group, servicing appropriate committees and sub-committees. The co-ordination and efficient running of the College�s Tutorial Service include providing the relevant administrative back-up as well as supporting and liaising with the Senior Tutor, organising and co-coordinating the New Tutors Induction course and the Tutors Workshop programme, co-coordinating the Academic Appeals process and Orientation week.
