Security Marketing Engineer working between Marketing, Product Management, Engineering and Sales. Strong knowledge of Cyber security technology required. CCIE and pre-sales experience preferred


We are looking for a talented Technical Marketing Engineer who will provide technical marketing expertise to support the marketing and sales of Corvil products with a specific emphasis on our solution for security. This is a high impact position, providing a critical bridge between the product organization (Marketing, Product Management and Engineering) and the field (Sales). This role acts as product evangelist for the Corvil products. The successful applicant will be a product advocate on behalf of the field sales organization and customers in key product strategy decisions. You will work closely with different functions across Sales, Channel, Product Management, Marketing, and Product Engineering/Development with a goal of maximizing product sales and mindshare, being a key technical resource to help train and inform our sales teams, channel partners and customers about our products and technologies.

This role is based in our city centre office the IFSC, in Dublin, Ireland.


  • Create sales ready demos, videos, and tools that showcase the advantage of Corvil’s products and solutions
  •  Produce high quality technical marketing content - web site, customer solution decks, new product introductions, blogs, case studies, application notes, design guides, best practice docs, reference architectures and technical product training decks for use with SE's, Sales, analyst and press
  •  Test and document product configurations and best practices for specific market solution use cases
  •  Test and benchmark Corvil products versus competitive products in TME lab
  •   Provide feedback to product line management and engineering to improve the competitive positioning
  •  Develop and conduct technical field training for Sales Engineering teams and customers
  • Own pre-sales and channel technical briefings and answering questions


Key Skills

  •   Bachelor of engineering, computer science, physics or math. CCIE highly desirable
  •   5+ years of experience with cyber security technology and networking environments
  •   Hands-on technical skills include the ability to configure and troubleshoot Enterprise class network systems including packet brokers, firewalls, routers, switches, hosts, traffic generators
  •  Technical knowledge of key Corvil competitors and partners
  •   Proven Sales Engineering, Technical Marketing, Product Management experience with enterprise and service provider customers
  •  Proven content creation skills – web, presentation, video, oral, written
  •  Excellent listening, highly responsive to field request, pro-active, self-managed
  •  Experience working with people of different levels of technical knowledge
  •  Customer experience in pre-sales situations
  •   The ideal candidate must be an excellent creator of technical marketing content, a clear and concise writer, a strong communicator who also possesses a great eye for presenting content in an attractive and cool manner.
  •  In addition, the ideal candidate will have hands-on system level technical skills and will not be afraid to roll up sleeves in the lab.
