Senior Pastry Chef
to join our team.


Purpose:
The Pastry Chef, working with the Executive Chef, will be responsible for managing the pastry section of the hotel. They will lead and inspire the pastry team to strive to surpass guest's expectations. They will contribute to guest satisfaction through the preparation of a high-quality, innovative product in accordance with hotel standards.
This position requires proven excellence and successes within the area of culinary expertise.
 

Key Responsibilities:
• Working with the Executive Chef to manage the effective and efficient daily operation of the pastry section
• To inspire the pastry team, delivering quality, consistency and excellence in our product offering
• To work with the Executive Chef, to inspire and challenge your team to continuously develop new initiatives which will ensure our food product is relevant, up to date, exciting and memorable
• To contribute to the production of food items as instructed by the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef
• To take direction from your department managers and to assist in the monitoring of food quality & hygiene standards
• To ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion and as instructed by the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef
• To ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen are prepared to the approved standards of presentation
• To adhere to HACCP procedures at all times
• To ensure that all kitchen staff observe appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation & storage
• To work in accordance with health & safety legislations and to report any faults to equipment to the manger/supervisor
• To be familiar with and have knowledge of the hotels daily business

The ideal candidate for this position:
Must have a proven ability working with pastry and have worked in a similar role
Must have a Professional culinary education qualification
Detailed knowledge of HACCP is essential
Experience of working with quality standards and be focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
Must be standards driven and detail-orientated
Must have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
Must be flexible with regards to hours
Must have a good command of the English Language
Should have previous experience in similar role
Must be able to work well in a team and display energy and enthusiasm in all personal interactions.
