The purpose of this role is to design, deliver, test and implement data driven strategies to continually improve business processes and ensure effective delivery of all contractual service levels. This includes the provision of regular detailed Management Information on strategy performance.

The purpose of this role is to design, deliver, test and implement data driven strategies to continually improve business processes and ensure effective delivery of all contractual service levels. This includes the provision of regular detailed Management Information on strategy performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Through data interrogation and stakeholder engagement identify opportunities to improve operational performance in the areas of cash collected, arrears management, operational turnaround times, call abandonment rates etc.
  • Forecasting of future performance (financial, arrears and capacity requirements) and the design and development of predictive modelling liaising with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Co-ordinate and deliver quality automated business intelligence and from this develop strategy and policy proposals to improve performance in the Retail & Operations division. 
  • Analyse data to identify variances, trends, patterns and indicators on a pro-active basis and regularly review the controls and governance in place within the division in order to increase efficiency and compliance.

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • The successful candidate should have 4 years relevant experience within an analytical/business intelligence or technical support role, ideally with experience in interrogating large datasets
  • SAS, SPSS or SQL skills with sound business acumen and a passion for numerical analysis and data driven strategy
  • Understanding of Collections & Recoveries with previous experience in managing related strategy campaigns is desirable
  • Ability to break down business problems into logical tasks and ability to think creatively with a proactive approach to business improvement
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team with a wide variety of individuals demonstrating effective interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Self-starter and ability to organise the workday around assigned activities and priorities with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay current with new business processes and new technologies is required.
