This position is based in our EU Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.

The role: Sales Strategy Principal, Global SMB Advertiser Acquisitions

The Acquisitions Program Team drives the acquisition of new high-growth advertisers for Google by partnering with Inside Sales (ISO), External Telesales (ETO) and Marketing Organizations. The team leads the design, planning and operations of programs that drive a scalable and analytical approach to generating incremental revenue growth. We work in partnership with cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Engineering. Experts in delivering strategy and process improvement, team members are analytical and strategic with a pragmatic approach to high impact delivery. In this role, you will drive programs that accelerate growth and improve Google???s Acquisition productivity. This is a strategic role that will require you to develop solutions to complex, ambiguous and high visibility business challenges. You will partner with the Market Intelligence team to deliver acquisition targeting models, and you will work closely with Sales and Marketing leaders to ensure smooth execution and implementation of these strategic solutions through the sales channels. You will provide analytical expertise and business understanding to the Acquisitions leadership teams. Additionally, you will have exposure and visibility to senior executives and cross-functional leaders as you evangelize the revenue opportunity and highlight revenue impact from your programs. You are a well-rounded top performer who can be a key contributor in a high energy growth environment. You should be a self starter that can "crunch the numbers" one minute and critically think through strategic issues and communicate to senior stakeholders the next. You will gain invaluable experience in this high impact role working in a dynamic environment.


  • Take a lead role in defining, analyzing and communicating key metrics and business trends for the management teams. Own and manage the successful execution of global programs through ISO and ETO channels.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization (Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Google Vendors, etc) to develop and advance key initiatives, and optimize business processes while navigating the ambiguity of a start-up environment.
  • Identify opportunities for product, program, and process improvement.
  • Own and manage the planning, preparation and successful execution of global programs through ISO and ETO channels. Strong change management disciplines to ensure alignment globally.
  • Execute sophisticated analyses and modeling that translates data into actionable insights, and supports targeted selling ??? including prospect profiling, pipeline management and lead insight.

Minimum qualifications:

  • University degree with a quantitative focus (economics, computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or accounting). In lieu of degree, relevant skills and experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Relevant years of analytical work experience, in management consulting or business operations & analytics environments.
  • Distinctive project management, problem solving and analysis skills, combined with strong business judgment and top communication skills.
  • Proven track record of thought leadership in applying data driven models that have had a tangible impact on sales and marketing operations across international markets.
  • Analytical mind that is capable of structured analysis of data together with ability to synthesize data into useful formats and bring actionable insights. In-depth experience analyzing data with strong Excel, database query experience (e.g. SQL), statistical expertise with tangible quantitative modeling experience.
  • Should consistently deliver quality outputs in a high paced and dynamic environment with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience of relational database feeds from external market providers and their overlay onto internal data-warehouse???s an advantage.
