Dublin Office: Sales Executive

 

TecSupport is a privately owned IT Services company with 12 employees, based in Galway. The company was initially founded with 3 employees in 2008 as an offshoot of a Galway based software services company. In 2009, the company acquired AMC solutions a local Galway IT services company. Following consolidation of the teams and client base, the company established a Helpdesk for its clients and engineers in Galway in 2010. This year also saw additional investment in development of a management team and a dedicated sales & marketing team. The company has recorded an operating profit in 2011, following year on year growth of around 20% in 2011. The company forecasts record profits and year on year growth of approx. 25% for 2012.

TecSupport are passionate about providing world-class IT support to Small and Medium enterprises.  It is an ambitious company, that recognises its people and technology as critical to further accelerating its growth TecSupport currently has 250+ registered clients.

 

The Opportunity

TecSupport are currently based in Galway, supporting clients across the country. From its overall portfolio of 250+ clients, the Company has approx. 10 clients in the Dublin area, in addition to 6 clients who are Galway based but have offices in Dublin. The Directors of the company have an established network of contacts in Dublin and see a lot of opportunity to develop the Dublin marketplace. We have business in Dublin and now we want to grow this, our objective is to establish TecSupport as a leading provider of IT services in Dublin.

We are looking for an experienced Sales person to help us establish our presence in Dublin.  We intend to set up offices in the city and are currently in the process of selecting a location. The candidate will have the opportunity to help shape our footprint in Dublin and participate in an exciting phase of development for the company. The Dublin office will have the full support of our Helpdesk and Sale & Marketing team in Galway and our intention is to grow this to 5 people in size in the coming year.

The Role:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role will require the candidate to drive new business sales in the Dublin & Leinster region selling TecSupport’s range of IT services & products. The role will also require account management for certain existing customers as well as new customers acquired by the candidate.

Candidates will need a strong understanding of IT coupled with a track record of working within a technology / IT related competitive sales environment to agreed Sales targets.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating a pipeline of qualified opportunities and converting incoming customer enquiries. This requires following through with a lead from the point of origin through to the closing of the sale.
  • Liaising with our technical team for the specification and quotation of technical solutions.
  • Liaising with our suppliers and our internal pricing team for the quotation of hardware, software & labour.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team on plan for pipeline generation within in a specific territory
  • Execute and follow up on Marketing Campaigns within your region and offer feedback on same
  • Continuously build network within new, existing & related organisations in order to identity new opportunities
  • Achievement of Pipeline and revenue Targets. (Quarter and Annual)
  • The role holder will have a technical understanding of our portfolio to be able to tailor solutions to customer requirements.
  • He/she must be a self-learner with the ability to understand market needs and translate these market needs to market propositions.
  • He/she stays abreast of the latest customer and market developments and contributes to the functional strategy by applying this within the organisation.

 

Experience & Requirements:

  • Business degree or equivalent
  • 3 + years sales experience in an IT role desirable
  • Team orientated but self-driven and motivated.
  • Multi-tasking ability with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrative communication and interpersonal skills
  • Focused, driven to succeed, organised and responsible
  • Proactive approach to market growth
  • Excellent presentation skills along with strong report writing skills.  
  • Full Driver’s License.
