This position is based in our EU Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.

The role: SMB People Development, Global Acquisitions Business Partner

Partnering with business leaders to develop tailored programs that set our Googlers up to succeed in their roles, the team creates development opportunities that allow for Googlers to take control of their careers. As a member of the People Development team, you are always thinking about how we can create a workplace that allows for our Googlers to grow personally and professionally. You leverage technology to create innovative learning labs that connect Googlers to new ways of learning, and have a passion for helping Googlers unlock their fullest potential.

You will partner closely with the Global Acquisitions Teams to understand business goals and ensure that appropriate learning solutions are designed and implemented for the Global Acquisitions function. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders (both clients and HRBPs), the People Development Teams and and wider People Operations Teams in order to build buy-in and partnership on solutions, leverage existing programs, communicate client needs and priorities and be the voice of the client.

You will conduct needs analysis, triage and assist with scoping custom solutions and work with curriculum teams to design, develop, implement and manage scalable learning solutions and programs that drive key business goals and metrics. You are experienced at effectively managing stakeholder relationships and easily build trust and credibility with customers and peers. You possess strong business acumen, are an excellent communicator and team player and have experience managing multiple projects and resources simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.


  • Establish and manage key business relationships and understand the client???s business, be seen as trusted advisor for business leaders. Provide People Development expertise, know our offerings and strategic initiatives, be able to explain evolving suite of resources and match them to client needs.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the client group, understand business priorities and talent needs. Build, own and execute against L&D strategy and business plan for client group - implement and manage training initiatives and programs that solve business problems and support development and growth.
  • Communicate proactively with client groups, develop reporting, communications strategy including monthly and quarterly custom reporting of our activities, upcoming changes to process or offerings.
  • Work cross-collaboratively on the People Development team agenda with peers and other teams, collaborating globally and regionally with colleagues and subject-matter experts to execute projects.
  • Design, develop, manage and deliver scalable training solutions across a variety of instructional methods from Instructor-led to e-Learning. Create, develop and implement solutions that solve specific business problems. Establish key measures for success across learning programs and deliver reports on effectiveness.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Operational and project management experience, full cycle from inception through to high growth.
  • Experience with learning program development and delivery, along with a strong track record in sales. Team player who is experienced in working with, and as part of global teams.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, proven track record of building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to successfully navigate and influence strong personalities within a complex business landscape and matrixed environment.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline pressure. Manage the work of others to get projects completed with high quality results.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, ability to employ sound judgment in complex situations.
