QA Manager

 

TEVA PHARMACEUTICALS IRELAND
 
Department: Quality Assurance
Reporting to: Head of Quality
 
Role Summary:
To manage the day to day Quality Assurance (QA) and Validation activities
To develop, maintain, implement and improve quality and validation standards and systems which give assurance that products comply with product licences, specifications and cGMP's.
 
Key Responsibilities include:

Documentation

To review and approve batch documentation, investigation reports, change requests, SOP's, qualification reports ensuring they are completed right first time and in full in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

 

Customer Service

To review, maintain and audit documents and processes in an efficient and timely manner in order to meet both internal and external customer requirements. Ensure no QA impact / delays on schedule adherence.  To identify and make recommendations for improvements as part of a team within or outside the department in order to eliminate non value added activities and ensure continuous improvement.

People Management

To ensure that QA team members are given the coaching and support required to perform their duties to agreed standards of performance and in line with Company Performance Management Systems

Cost Management

To agree and monitor departmental budget/capital expenditure in order to meet budgeted targets within the Quality function.  

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree in science related subject
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Auditing (QP) status desirable
  • Management experience in FDA approved facility
Knowledge and Skills
 
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, Regulatory Bodies and Customer requirements
  • Company policies, procedures and standards
  • SAP knowledge
  • Regulatory standards in Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Health & Safety/Environmental Legislation
  • Employment Legislation

Skills

  • Report Writing
  • Computer literate
