Procurement Coordinator

This position presents the opportunity to work in an exciting and challenging environment, supporting Supply Chain Operations for all International Orders. The role will be reporting to the Business Operations Manager based in Cork


  • Bill of material scrub ahead of quotation process
  • Interface with deals desk and war room
  • Field Interface – Pre Sales order close
  • POC Eval agreements in Place
  • Set initial delivery estimates in terms of 30,45,60 days
  • Pre Buy coordination for deals which have not closed
  • Ensure Final, correct BOM is being used for PO’s
  • Utilise standard buyer function to create and receive quotations for processing to PO
  • Interface with finance and pricing group ahead of PO placement on price validation
  • Work with front end buyer on utilizing of excess inventory
  • Supply Chain PO placement to the parents and sub tier suppliers
  • Manage vendor on time delivery, vendor adherence to schedule and agreed processes
  • Proactive lining up of supplier quotes, PO’s and approvals during quarter end period
  • Take ownership for documenting SO numbers and reporting back to VCE and parents
  • Drive efficiencies in process to reduce cycle time
  • Maintain key information of Sales force database
  • Interface with front end sales and engineering as deals are booked
  • Ensure Final, correct BOM is being used for PO’s
  • Manage all post close BOM Changes  for Supply
  • KPI – data collection – Reporting – corrective action
  • Take part in standard procurement activities in terms of supply demand management
  • Give input on backlog Management  for New Builds & Software/Upgrades
  • Establish metrics and Sla’s to improve turnaround time for the various functions


  • Excellent analytical, numerical and organizational skills are required
  • Extremely strong reporting  set and maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal skills required for vendor negotiation and all internal and external liaison
  • Ability  to work on own initiative
  • Excellent PC Skills including knowledge of Microsoft office packages along with an MRP system.
  • Experience with Supply Chain processes.
  • Education Degree / Diploma in relevant discipline.
  • Experience At least 3/4 years experience in a similar role with proven track record within a manufacturing environment
