Sigmar Recruitment have an exciting new role for an experienced Process & Equipment Engineer to work with our globally renowned and market-leading client in Waterford.  This is a permanent role offering a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing support for the performance of automated manufacturing equipment within a high volume, regulated manufacturing environment. This role is the perfect opportunity for a candidate with 2-3 years experience looking to take the next step in their career.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure maximum performance of automated manufacturing equipment

  • Take a leadership role within investigations into systematic issues

  • Collate and analyse data, providing logical and methodical interpretation of the results

  • Assist the manufacturing team with troubleshooting issues

  • Provision of daily support to production through continuous improvement and early intervention on potential issues

  • Create and execute regular process improvements designed to optimise production while reducing cost to the business

Candidate Specification:

  • Third level degree in Engineering (mechanical/ electronic)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience within a technical role in a high volume manufacturing environment

  • Previous experience with automated systems, high volume manufacturing and precision are essential for this position

  • Exceptional level of technical knowledge is absolutely essential

  • Ability to take the lead and confidently make decisions

  • Excellent data analysis skills

  • Previous experience working within med device/ pharmaceutical environments preferred

  • Experience with Solidworks and Six Sigma, desired but not essential
