The Medical Supplies Global Business Unit of Covidien provides a broad range of market leading brands that have provided the foundation of patient care for over 100 years. Medical Supplies develops and sells high quality products used to improve patient care in areas such as Nursing Care (wound care and urology), Monitoring & OR (electrodes & OR safety disposables) and Sharp Safety (safety needles & syringes, & sharps collection).

As Process Engineer, your Principle Accountabilities will involve:
- Working with Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments to optimise process effectiveness on Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
- Provide technical leadership on new process design, introduction and support to agreed process specifications.
- Lead Process Design effectiveness optimisation of people, equipment and process capability, material inputs and planning demands
- Drive process robustness initiatives (mistake proofing / six-sigma )
- Participate in, and lead Capital, Operational Excellence, R&D & Material Change projects which are aligned to the site strategic plan.



As Process Engineer your Skills & Qualifications will include:
- The successful candidate will ideally possess a degree in Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Biomedical, Polymer, Manufacturing or equivalent).
- Preferred 5 years engineering experience in a production or manufacturing role
- Experience in a Medical Device Manufacturer or equivalent Regulated Industry will be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of Six Sigma Lean principles is an important advantage
- Knowledge of project management principles (e.g. PMBOK) will be an advantage
