Pharmacy Technician required for Community Services Company based in Dublin 12

The ideal candidate will have 2 PQE experience in either a Hospital or Community position

TCP Homecare are a leading provider of Homecare Nursing Services on a national scale. We are currently seeking to employ a full-time Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for innovative, enthusiastic professionals who demonstrate a high degree of self motivation while displaying flexibility and ability to adapt to change to join our pharmacy team of three.

Key Qualifications & Competencies:                                                                                                       
•Pharmacy Technician certification/ equivalent science degree - Certification in different areas of Pharmacy
•Proven problem solving ability
•Excellent administration skills
•Excellent computer skills, proficient in excel, word, and outlook
•Good communication skills with both patients and professional staff.
•Effective decision making skills
•Collaborate with homecare and logistics departments; work with multidisciplinary teams within the Company and within the HSE, primary care settings and pharma companies.
•Relevant hospital experience with a good understanding of injectable medicines
•Good knowledge on drugs, medical procedures and therapies, diagnosis and disease states.
•Skills in working with technical automated equipment and information systems.
•Strict Quality Focus
Key Responsibilities:
•Establish and maintain patient profiles by entering patient and order information into the pharmacy system
•Order, label, and check stock of medications and supplies, and enter inventory data into system.
•Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
•Accurately and efficiently preparing prescription orders and verify prescription information is complete and accurate
•Providing quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers
•Provide collaborative pharmaceutical care with staff pharmacists
•Report on, and monitor on-going pharmacovigilance incidents
•Provide appropriate documentation of all activities.
•Evaluate medication error reduction
•Serve on pharmacy committee for Group meetings and conferences
•Producing written reports to customers in the pharmaceutical industry.
•Work within Temperature controlled environment to assist with dispensing of product.
•Assist in the setup of new home care projects
•Preparing the delivery of various medications or supplies according to prescriptions - and making sure that all dispensed drugs are recorded and delivered in accordance with local and state laws or regulations.
•Operate within the most recent GDP/ PSI regulations, guidelines and EEC directives on good practice for the relevant services.
•Ensure that working practices meet with the overall jurisdiction of the bylaws, Regulations, Codes of Conduct, Disciplinary Regulations and any general guidelines of the professional body of which they are members.
May require some flexibility to working hours.
