 Personal Motor Claims - Motor Engineer

LocationKnocknacarra, Co. Galway

Duration: Permanent

Role Description:

This role will be at the forefront of change within motor claims. We are looking for individuals with an innovative and progressive approach to the motor claims market, who can drive optimum performance from our repair and total loss partners, using methods such as audit, and work in progress inspections, whilst ensuring that our customer’s needs are met in a timely manner.  This is an office based role.

The role includes:-

  • Management of indemnity spend for motor repairs, by audit, challenge and work in progress inspections
  • Taking ownership of escalated issues
  • Identifying drivers for change within the repair and total loss processes
  • Identifying new and different ways of working to drive optimum efficiency and indemnity spend benefits to the benefit of our customer
  • Giving expert advice when presented with fait accompli invoices and the ability to negotiate settlement
  • Drive operational efficiency by sharing best practice with our supplier partners and claims colleagues
  • Identifying and managing causes of leakage and waste
  • Satisfying customers that all vehicles are repaired/settled at the best cost using the correct method, which is right, first time.
  • Identifying any new technology within the motor industry  which could drive operational efficiencies
  • Give clarification and guidance to colleagues and supplier partners

 
Skills / Competencies / Experience:

  • Expertise within the motor repair and total loss industry and insight into how this is evolving.
  • Motor Engineer qualification with bodyshop experience
  • Understanding of the component parts of the end to end motor customer  journey
  • Understanding the credit hire industry and regulatory/legislation framework governing it
  • Call centre/contact centr.....
