Excellent opportunity for an experienced Person in Charge.


Our Client is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities. Founded in 1968 the Organisation has grown through continuously responding to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The Organisation presently provides early intervention, pre-school, school, adult day services, residential, respite care, elder care and home support in the North Cork and South West Limerick region.

48 hours maximum per week inclusive of sleepover hours.

Reporting to The Area Manager the ideal candidate will have:-
A HETAC Accredited Degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or a qualification in Nursing (RNID) or Social Work (Degree) and an appropriate management qualification.
Not less than five years' experience working with children/adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential.
Three years management or supervisory experience including staff management, supervision & appraisal
Extensive experience of working with children/adults with intellectual disabilities who may present with behaviours that challenge and supporting care staff in similar environments.
Experience of managing residential budgets
Excellent HSE Payscales and good prospects.
