Job Overview
Working as part of a team to provide a reliable and fully compliant standard of service (in terms of quality and timeliness) to your portfolio of pension scheme clients
Unit Summary
The DC Administration team currently manages a portfolio of approx 150 DC schemes ranging in size from less than 10 members to some schemes that have more than 2,000 members. There are approximately 40 people working within DC Administration including the Head of DC Administration, Business Unit Leaders, Team Managers, Client Managers and Pension Administrators.
Report to: Team Manager
Team Size: 10 Group DC Pension Administrators

  • Monthly bank account reconciliations

  • Monthly/quarterly unit reconciliations

  • Undertaking annual membership reconciliations

  • Preparing and dispatching annual benefit statements

  • Processing monthly contributions within the 21 day/31 day compliance deadlines

  • Transfers in and out for your schemes

  • Processing the risk benefits (life, PHI , premium protection) for your schemes

  • Processing fund switches (on per member basis or per fund basis)



  • High level of accuracy/attention to detail

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Effective communication skills and ability to provide high level of customer service to your clients

  • Flexible approach

  • 2 years plus pension’s administration experience in a consultancy firm, brokerage, life office or working on an in-house scheme (desirable).  Ideally group or company DC pension administration experience.

  • Investment switching experience and/or experience in processing risk benefit (desirable).

  • Working towards the IIPM qualification (beneficial)

  • Successful completion of the Pensions QFA module (desirable)
I.T./Technical Skills

  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel to at least intermediate standard.

  • Previous working experience of Microsoft Excel formulae, pivot tables and V look–ups required

  • Working experience of Microsoft Word and Outlook also required.
