Derrycourt Cleaning Specialists are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join our team based in our head office in Finglas. Working within a team of 4 you will be required to work closely with the Payroll Manager supporting the payroll process on a weekly basis for circa 1300 employees.

Payroll Specialist 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data from personnel and timekeeping systems.
  • Cross checking of hours on timesheets against client billing information and querying any discrepancies.
  • Emailing of payslips to employees.
  • Calculation of holiday and public holiday pay as required and import into micropay.
  • Importing Tax credits & SRCOP from ROS.
  • Inputting new employee information from HR system to micropay.
  • Importing of timesheet data to micropay.
  • Balancing of payroll using excel template and micropay ARW report.
  • Calculation of overtime.
  • Processing of late time sheets as required.
  • Emailing payslips to employees.
  • Preparation of P45’s and submitting P45’s to ROS.
  • Resolve payroll queries and issues by collecting and analyzing information and work through appropriate channels to resolve.
  • Closing off payroll, balancing adjustments, logging cheques on cheque register, complete the payroll check list for closing off.
  • Supporting the payroll manager with the generation of all payroll associated reports. 
  • Ad hoc administration duties associated with payroll. 

Key requirements: 

  • Ideally we are looking for someone who has 2 plus years payroll experience with IPASS qualification or working towards IPASS.  
  • Strong knowledge of MS office and intermediate to advanced excel skill is essential for this position as many of the payroll associated tasks are currently manual until the introduction of a new payroll system in 2018.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a fluency of the English language essential. 
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills and ability to work in a fast paced office environment in order to meet weekly payroll deadlines. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to gather complete and accurate information and where necessary identify solutions to any problems which may arise. 
  • Flexibility for this position is critical in order to meet the demands of a weekly payroll. 
  • Integrity when handling highly confidential material, exercise a high level of judgement, confidentiality and discretion.
