Online Marketing Analyst


The Paddy Power Online Marketing Operations Team is a centralised function which manages the online acquisition of customers for the online business units (including Sports, Casino, Games, Bingo and Poker). Through affiliate marketing, pay per click advertising, display advertising and search engine optimisation this function defines and executes the online acquisition strategy with the aim of maximising acquisition, ROI and customer value using cutting edge online marketing techniques and analysis.


Reporting to the Online Marketing Analytics Manager, the Online Marketing Analyst will work as an integral part of the Online Marketing Team at Paddypower.com.


Overall purpose of role:


The on-going measurement, analysis and reporting of our acquisition campaigns and activity is critical to inform decisions on proposition strategy, product development and commercial negotiations.


The Online Marketing Analyst will play a leading role in analysing online acquisition strategy and campaigns, with a view to ensuring optimal marketing spend.


Main duties:


  • To analyse customer value from all campaigns / channels and formulate optimal spend acquisition strategy;

  • To identify new areas where Paddy Power can profitably acquire customers;

  • To analyse and report on conversion, including effectiveness of ad copy, positioning, landing pages, A/B & multivariate testing;

  • To deal with ad hoc analytics requests from business units;

  • To benchmark and track Paddy Power performance versus our key competitors.

Skills Required:


  • Degree level educated, preferably to post-grad level with a significant quantitative component (indicative courses @ graduate level include Marketing Science, Maths, Economics, Statistics, Science / Physics, Computer Science);

  • Highly numerate;

  • The ability to develop excellent quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and technical skills;

  • Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel;

  • Strong communication skills

  • SQL and / or VBA skills are an advantage.
