New Publisher Products Lead

 

This position is based in our EU Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.

The area: Partnerships

There's always more information out there, and our Partnerships team works to get it. We develop relationships with a range of organizations, from content providers to publishers, and find ways for them to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. We find great content for our products, and we also work with partner sites to syndicate our own Google products. From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we're in pursuit of gathering the world's information.

The role: New Publisher Products Lead

The Online Partnerships Group (OPG) grows Google's business with online publishers by helping them utilize tools from products such as AdSense and DoubleClick. Our team is made up of high-achieving specialists who work with partners in online advertising and e-commerce. We thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented and international environments. On this team you proactively identify, develop, support and maximize revenue opportunities from existing and new partners. In OPG, we strive to exceed partner expectations through building, supporting and maintaining long-term win-win relationships.

As a Lead for New Publisher Products, you will be responsible for growing Google???s newest, most exciting businesses. You???ll be the resident expert for the New Publisher Products portfolio, which among others includes new Display formats, Video, Games, Mobile and other channels. Most of these products are managed as startups within the Online Partnerships Group. Your role is focused on developing and growing relationships with our publishers in conjunction with our sales and support teams on the one side and product managers and engineers on the other side. This includes defining and communicating our sales strategy for New Publisher Products, contributing to the product cycle (Feedback, Prioritization, Product Design and Development, Commercialization) and providing world-class after service to our publishers. In addition, you will also be involved in the other key aspects of growing these new businesses whether it be sales strategy, market analysis, and integration with our ad serving platforms and yield management solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the expert for the products in New Publisher Products portfolio. Specifically, you'd take care of our new Display formats, Video, Games, Mobile and potentially other new channels
  • Build strategic partnerships with sales and support teams and their publishers
  • Provide world-class technical support on the products in your portfolio
  • Solicit customer feedback and work with product management to communicate customer needs, enhancements and priorities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, Ad Sales, and the Direct Sales team to commercialize our products successfully in the market

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills and experience.
  • Programming experience required (Action Script and MySQL knowledge).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the online advertising industry.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and organizational and project management skills with excellent verbal/written communication skills including presentations.
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals.
  • Demonstrated self-starter who thrives in a team environment.
  • Previous account management experience.
